Our Mission
Kidz 1st Day Nursery is an Early Childhood Education Centre based in North West London. We aim to broaden every child’s opportunities by providing a wide range of first and new experiences, whether that is painting for the first time or their first visit to the theatre.
We aim to prepare every child to excel both at “big school” and in their later life. We work with them to develop such fundamental skills as independence, self-regulation, attention and concentration, empathy, literacy, and maths to name a few.
We pride ourselves on advocating for inclusivity for all children. We work with families and children based on a thorough knowledge of the child’s circumstances, strengths, and challenges.

- Raising Awareness, Tolerance and Celebration: We are committed to helping children discover and appreciate their own and others’ uniqueness.
- Championing children with SEND: We actively champion that all children deserve the right to thrive, with their circumstances, strengths and challenges taken into consideration.
Community Involvement
- Involving Primary Caregivers: Those raising children are the primary educators and one of the most important factors in their development. We recognise the vital role caregivers play and develop close partnerships with them to provide the best outcomes for every child.
- Involving Men: We work to include fathers and male role models for children, who are underrepresented in many family circles and the local community, but play a vital role as examples, supports and advocates for the children in their lives.
- Involving the Wider Community: We acknowledge the child’s support network, which includes siblings, extended family, family friends, community members and other professionals, all of whom make a real difference to a child’s language, social and cultural development.
Quality Edu-Care
- Raising Expectations: We advocate for education and breaking the poverty cycle for the most disadvantaged children. We hold high ambitions for all children and work to set them all on a path to future success.
- Raising Standards: Studies show that high quality early childhood education gives children a head start, positively impacting their attainment all the way up to secondary school. Our approach is based on an established body of evidence and is ever evolving to ensure that our practice continues to follow best practice for our families and children.
- Providing Warmth and Care: Building a safe and secure attachment with their keyperson makes it easier for children to leave their carers at drop-off time. Such nurturing relationships provide a safe base for children to then develop resilience, curiosity and a love of learning.
- Home from Home: We aim to provide the best – if we wouldn’t want it for our own children, we wouldn’t give it to yours!

- Our aim is for all children to be confident and enthusiastic learners, equipped with the key skills and motivation to navigate their later lives and learning.
- Our curriculum is designed to be both broad and flexible, providing a wide range of new experiences tailored to each child based on their interests and learning methods.
